Core Values
Build the best learning platform
We have designed our learning platform with educator and student in mind. And we continue to innovate to improve user satisfaction.
Keep things affordable
The cost of higher education must come down. We want to be part of the solution.
Foster community
Teaching physics can be challenging. We’ve designed our platform to promote dialog and collaboration amongst educators to improve student learning.
Support our educators and students
Our users deserve excellent customer support. We will always be there to answer their questions and to support them in any way we can.
Our Team
Mark Simoneau heads curriculum development and user testing. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Tufts University, and Harvard University. Mark has over 15+ years of experience in teaching chemistry and physics. When not working, he enjoys reading, writing, woodworking, and cycling the back roads of New England. |
Eric Simoneau leads the development of the Key2Physics.com learning platform. Eric has been the PI or Co-PI of three National Science Foundation grants that work to improve STEM education nationwide using educational technology. His NSF grant funding has lead to the development of the Key2Physics platform using technology and resources developed over the last 6+ years. He holds an MS in Statistics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, a MA in Mathematical Finance from Boston University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. |
Jacqui Valenzuela works on website testing and quality control. In addition, she works with other team members around developing new website features. Jacqui enjoys running, traveling, playing guitar, watching the Boston Bruins, and taking long naps :) |
Marc Baneza leads our team of four developers. He is responsible for improving website security, running and gaining both servers and databases, improving website speed, and implementing all-new feature requests. Marc enjoys cooking, camping, and participating in hackathons. |
Montse Zubieta is a lover of physics education. Montse is responsible for physics assessment items, physics lessons, and physics problem sets. Montse enjoys traveling (when allowed!), visiting museums, cooking, and coffee. |
Michelle Aguilar is responsible for building assessment items and supporting teachers and students with any questions and issues. Michelle enjoys skiing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her kids and family in Vermont. |
Gizmo is the true dog behind the curtain. While she is pretty poor at making coffee and answering customer support questions, she is great at lounging around and doing nothing while giving the impression she is super busy. When not building rockets and conducting physics experiments, Gizmo enjoys chewing on her stuffed dice and begging for her favorite food (bananas if you must know). Also, if there is anything wrong with Key2Physics, it is Gizmo's doing. |
